We’ve just returned from an unforgettable journey through Argentina, exploring the vibrant capital of Buenos Aires and the world-renowned wine region of Mendoza. This incredible trip was organized by B+U and our trusted local partner Designer Trips Argentina DMC, in collaboration with Park Hyatt Buenos Aires and Mendoza, and beautifully hosted by Suzanne Shalaby, Director of Business Development, Park Hyatt, Americas.
Why Argentina?
Argentina offers one of the most impressive food and wine scenes in the world, paired with luxurious accommodations and warm hospitality. This trip was a perfect example of how seamlessly high-end travel and authentic local experiences can come together.
Highlights from Our Journey
In Mendoza:
We stayed at the Park Hyatt Mendoza, where comfort and service were exceptional.
Visited top wineries including Bodegas Benegas Lynch, where we enjoyed a memorable lunch at ZONDA, a Michelin Green Star restaurant known for sustainable fine dining.
Explored the Uco Valley, tasting incredible wines at the boutique winery Michelini i Mufatto.
Had a rustic, gourmet lunch at Siete Fuegos, curated by Argentina’s legendary chef Francis Mallmann.
Experienced a refined dinner at Brindillas, another Michelin-starred gem.
Enjoyed a private tour and overnight at Susana Balbo Winery and its elegant boutique hotel – a true highlight.
Back in Buenos Aires:
Checked into the luxurious Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.
Savored a 14-course Argentinian BBQ at Fogón Asado, with impeccable wine pairings featuring Malbec Argentino, one of the best Malbecs we've ever tasted.
Took a day trip to El Tigre, one of the world’s largest river deltas, and had lunch and a wine tasting at Kanoo. We cruised back to Puerto Madero by boat, enjoying stunning city views.
Ended the day with a glamorous night out at Rojo Tango in the iconic Faena Hotel, the best tango show in Buenos Aires.
Our final day included a cultural city tour, a visit to Eva Perón’s Mausoleum, and a hands-on cooking class in Palermo Soho, where we learned to make empanadas with Paula Comparatore, followed by a fantastic lunch and more excellent Argentine wines.
