As seasons change, so do the destinations Travelers are seeking most. In 2024, France, Italy, and Greece continued to be top destinations. What we noticed more and more were the "alternative" destinations as well as not-as-well-known cities within a trendy country.
To avoid busy ports, travelers to Greece went beyond Mykonos and Santorini. Islands like Milos, Paros, Naxos, and Kefalonia began to see the love of tourism and more authentic experiences. Each island in Greece is unique, but the hospitality remains the same. Stops along the way should include lunch at Mama's Fish House before you set out on the journey to Hana. The views are amazing, and there are multiple waterfalls along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy a few nights at
Hana Maui Resort, the only place to stay in Hana. Two to three nights will allow you to feel the Hana energy and explore all there is to see and do in the area. Hana Lava Tube is a 5-mile long (round trip) natural lava tube you can hike self-guided. The most picturesque black sand beach of Wai'anapanapa is a highlight of the area you cannot miss. "The Best Pizza Ever" can be found at Hana Farms, along with the most delicious banana bread you will ever find. Leave room in your suitcase to take a few home. Another must-see is Haleakala National Park. En route, you will see Wailua Falls, the tallest in the area. A hike of Ohe'o Gulch or Seven Sacred Pools should be planned. Before returning to the resort, stop at Venus Pools to test the adventurer in you; this hidden gem has a waterfall, swimming hole, and cliffs to jump on.
You will return to a breathtaking sunset and dinner at Hana Ranch Restaurant before turning in. No stay at Hana Maui Resort is complete without some time at the spa, where you can end your treatment with a cold plunge and/or jacuzzi views.
